About Dr. Denis Wilson

Denis Wilson, MD described Wilson 's Temperature Syndrome in 1988 after observing people with symptoms of low thyroid and low body temperature, yet who had normal blood tests. He found that by normalizing their temperatures with T3 (without T4) their symptoms often remained improved even after the treatment was discontinued. He was the first doctor to use sustained-release T3.

Thyroid and Migraines

Everything’s easy when you know how.

In many instances it’s easy to cure migraines so they don’t come back.

The secret is very often in normalizing low body temperatures. This is the connection between thyroid and migraines.

The thyroid system is supposed to maintain normal body temperatures. Low body temperatures can result in recurrent migraines, though it’s not clear how. It may be that the low temperatures lead to relaxation and dilation of the blood vessels which results in more fluid leaking into the tissues. The swelling brain tissues inside the closed space of the cranium would explain the characteristic throbbing pain

Thyroid and Fatigue

Doctors often think “thyroid” when patients complain of fatigue because of the long known relationship between thyroid and fatigue. They also tend to think “thyroid blood tests,” but patients can suffer from low body temperatures and debilitating fatigue even when their thyroid tests are normal.

The thyroid system is supposed to maintain normal body temperatures. Low body temperatures can cause tremendous fatigue!

One major problem, however, is that the body temperature is probably the most important reading doctors rarely check!

Frequently, problems with thyroid and fatigue leave people feeling tired all day with difficulty sleeping at night. Their fatigue is often better when

I am a single mother, part-time student, and a full-time employee of an insurance agency. There was a time when I could not have possibly kept the daily schedule I have now, and absolutely could not have thought clearly, even if I could manage

I am on my second cycling of T3 and doing very well. On my first cycle I captured my 98.6 temp on 90 mcg of T3, it took 2 weeks to capture 98.6, then I continued on that dose for an additional 2 weeks. I was a bit nervous and agitated on that dose, but started taking KAVA (Kavatrol brand), from the health food store and felt better immed., it has amazing

… I am responding to T3 therapy. Good luck finding a doctor (take care in choosing and monitor your treatment closely–trust your own judgement because there are many doctors out there who won’t treat you correctly). Read those books. Best wishes. Julia

“Start on the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol and get a healthier mouth!” – Ginger

Issues covered in the account below:

  • Healthier gums

… I have been on the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol for six months now, and just went to get my teeth cleaned. Usually I have terrible tartar buildup, and my gums are not all that healthy. The dental hygienist was very impressed with the state of my mouth. My gums were much healthier this time. After discussing Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome with her, she thought the Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome protocol was improving my immune system, which resulted in

“Seems like I have better overall temperature tolerance” – Rick Paquin

  • Heat Intolerance

…Prior to this T3 treatment, I would be cold one minute and hot the next. I would also be more sensitive to anything low or high temperatures. Extreme sweating was a problem in the summer. Now, decreases in temperature don’t make me shiver and hot temperatures don’t make me sweat as much. Seems like I have better overall temperature tolerance.

…My daughter Amanda has just finished cycling off T3. Most of her symptoms are gone, and her temperature average has held at 99.0. She has been fighting a sinus infection, but this time, she is fighting it, instead of it attacking her. She is feeling energetic again, and is starting to fill out like a normal 7 year old (8 on Saturday) should. She no longer has that sickly, skinny look! I am so thankful for this treatment

…I also have emailed Oprah. I have emailed her every month since I found out about T3 and started on treatment in March. I have kept her posted on the great results I have had. … hopefully someone will see this and take notice and help get the word out. … Its so great to feel wonderful. … Never give up, our voices will be heard and the good news will spread to help others.

Good Luck

“I only have to go to the bathroom maybe every three to four hours” – Judy

Issues covered in the account below:

  • Frequent Urination

…I had frequent urination (probably at least every hour when awake). Been taking compounded T3 since January and in last few months have noticed, in addition to many other improvements, that I only have to go to the bathroom maybe every three to four hours, whereas before, whenever we would go out, the washroom was the first thing I was checking out.

Good luck Judy.
